Nickelodeon Resort Punta Cana 2021
Nickelodeon Punta Cana is John's favorite vacation thus far. I have a more difficult time deciding my favorite family vacation destination, but Nickelodeon Resort is definitely a top contender. All inclusive, scheduled activities, character breakfast, Karisma Gourmet dinning, water park fun, beach cabanas, and best of all the swimming pool attached to our room. We were initially set to stay in Pad Swim Up. When we arrived were were offered an upgrade to the Flat Swim Up using resort credits and paying an additional couple of hundred. John opted for us to get upgraded. (The Flat Swim Up is essentially the same room as the Pad Swim Up just with more square footage and separate bedroom/living room areas.)

Room Service
Our boys loved in room dinning for breakfast. It definitely did not compare to the traditional Dominican breakfast available at Sugar Cane or the character breakfast options and Zest experience. Nonetheless, it was nice being able to have a lazy morning eating breakfast in room and jumping in our pool right after.
One day during our stay, we did try room service for lunch. I would strongly advise against this option as the restaurants all offer better selections for lunch.
Zest
For taste, atmosphere, and the overall experience, I would say Zest was my favorite restaurant. The breakfast selection was a combination of typical American breakfast options and traditional Dominican breakfast. Zest only has character dinning for breakfast (reservations required) and also has buffet style lunch and dinner throughout the week.
Sugar Cane
Breakfast & Lunch/Dinner Options
They generally had traditional Caribbean options in addition to typical American pizzas, pastas, burgers, etc.
BRGRS
You can't visit Nickelodeon Punta Cana without trying the machete burger at BRGRS. MACHETE! They call out "MACHETE" while bringing out the made to order Nickelodeon favorite family portioned burger. One word, DELICIOUS.
Tid Bits
-One restaurant on site, Spacewalker, requires reservations and gets booked up quickly. Make sure to book your reservations immediately upon check in if you want to try out all the restaurants.

-The character dinning will cost you about $50 per person. It's an experience you shouldn't miss, especially not if cost is the only barrier. You can request a grounds tour and attend a 1 hour Karisma presentation to get the character breakfast completely free.

-The coffee shop Doppio is a nice littler gem. During our stay, it was always packed with individually wrapped cookies and freshly squeezed watermelon, pineapple, and other fruit juices grab and go style. The coffee, cappuccinos, lattes are AMAZING. If anyone is visiting and finds out the name of the coffee being served on site please shoot me an email. I'd love to have again.
-You can pay to get slimed, which we opted not to do. Nonetheless, lots of other families enjoyed this experience and likewise we enjoyed watching.

-Green slime-colored ketchup, slime smoothies upon arrival were among some of our favorite unique touches. We also enjoyed touring the Pineapple Villa and Ninja Turtle Villa, which was very difficult ( almost impossible) to coordinate. The villas we toured are the same villas available to guests for stays, so the availability for a tour depends on whether the villa is vacant or not during your stay.
